Social Branding Rules Every Grad Should Know
social branding basics every grad should know

Personal branding is what you share of yourself and how it's perceived by the outside world. I started blogging nearly 4 years ago, with the idea that being myself would sell. Lately, I've began to think more strategic about what it means to be @thejasminediane.

Below are 4 amazing rules for personal branding to help you to take your branding to the next level!

Rule 1: Singular username across ALL channels
Why? Owning 1 handle across every social media channel gives you power over your online image. You can't successfully complete the rest of these steps without having control over name.

Rule 2: Consistent colors
Why? Consistent colors help with brand recognition. If you always use yellow in your memes, people will start to associate your brand with the color yellow and every time they see the color online they’ll think of you. Amazing branding means being on the mind of your fans, clients, etc. at all times! You have to meet them with consistent colors and fonts to make a lasting impressions.

Rule 3: Always promoting my blog url
Why? How will anyone know that you or your work exists if you don't tell them? Go hard for your brand. If you don't believe in your brand then how in the heck do you expect anyone to buy your products or read your articles? You can't.

Rule 4: Consistent positive energy both online and in person
Why? Your audience wants to connect with your story. People can relate to people, not images or machines. Be yourself and don’t be afraid to admit your mistakes. Who are you, like the real you?
