Black and white never gets old. As my 24th birthday approaches, I've made an honest effort to hone in on my personal style. Looking through older images made me realize that my style, much like my life was all over the place. Gasps. There is a huge correlation between your external and internal if you ask me.

New York taught me to get a little overdressed. I'm still floating on cloud nine from my first time in the big apple. It's like those 4 days sparked a new fire in me to get back into fashion. That means more style posts and fashion shows. Old dreams die slow, ya know?

Summer is coming to a close and honestly, I'm good with that. Fall is my favorite season because it reminds me to shed all types of baggage AKA let the dead things go. Life get heavy at times which is why it's so important to take the time out to live. I'm writing this post from the bed in New York City. 

There is no feeling like being free. Freedom and peace of mind are priceless. I'm walking into my destiny with a little more wisdom than ever before.... why? Because I'm letting life happen. I know that you were expecting me to say that I figured out something that was troubling me.

This vest is everything, effortlessly. I am in love with the vibrant color. It's for sure one of my fall staples. Fall means layers and warm colors, so I'm all the way here it. Did I mention that fall fashion is my favorite?

This weekend I had the privilege to cover Urban Fashion Fest 2016. #UFFKC is an annual charity fashion show event highlighting emerging designers, models, glam squads and small businesses. I had a blast catching up with old friends, snapping pictures and meeting new fashion industry associates.

I didn't want to come across "too sexy." Then it hit me that I am a 23 year old woman with curves that I cannot hide, so its inevitable to sometimes look sexy and it is okay to feel it. Without even realizing it, I'd become a master of hiding my curves instead of embracing them.

Everyday I wake up with hopes of getting my life more on track... racing towards perfection that seems so close yet too far to grasp. I remember the day of this shoot like it was yesterday. We switched locations a few times throughout our session. The sun was beaming like crazy. This shoot was the first time I felt really "sexy" in front of the camera.

I'm head over heels in love with this printed skirt (H&M) + sexy wrap wedge sandals (Forever21). I am in the process of upgrading my entire wardrobe as my 24th birthday approaches. This skirt was perfect for the transition because it's longer than my college skirts and the fun print is interesting. Moving forward, I will be incorporating more skirts and heels into my daily style. I'm over jeans, tees and sneakers everyday. You know what I mean?

I couldn't help but snag this cute top from H&M last Friday as I was doing my usual payday shopping routine. It's been a long time since I purchased a tube top, so I knew I had to have it.
